Internships
Mabou Mines accepts volunteer interns on an ongoing basis throughout the year. The work consists of administrative support including: answering telephones, responding to emails, filing, helping with promotional mailings, etc.  Strong computer or organizational skills are a plus.  Sometimes technically skilled interns assist in the theater space. Additional work varies depending on the needs of Mabou Mines and the talents/skills of each intern.

The internship is unstructured in the traditional sense, but offers the opportunity for interns to become familiar with the administrative and creative processes of the company as we enter our 40th season. Given the small size of Mabou Mines, interns are able to contribute greatly to the daily life of the Company. The minimum commitment is one half day per week, but some interns volunteer more time.

It is important to everyone that the internship be a mutually rewarding experience. Interns have the chance to observe rehearsals and explore archival video, based on whether the Company is rehearsing at the time and availability of resources. Sometimes, relationships that are formed during the internship program evolve into lasting friendships and professional relationships.
