Mabou Mines, Experiments in Opera and Restless NYC invite you to join us for a celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Janet Frame’s birth with a gathering of artists and community.  We will celebrate Frame’s literary legacy and also look forward to the Fall 2025 premiere of the new opera Rainbird, based on Frame’s celebrated book “Yellow Flowers in the Antipodean Room.”  We will hear excerpts of the opera and talk with Mallory Catlett (Librettist/Director) and Aaron Siegel (Composer) and the performers about the creative process. Light refreshments will be served.

Live performances by Katie Geissinger, Chris DiMeglio, Josh Henderson and Emily Manzo.
